After falling off on Monday I wasn't sure how I'd feel today, plus I'd nicked my winter bike pedals for my MTB. But on Monday eve I'd ordered some more & low & behold they arrived today from ribblecycles.co.uk , brilliant service!!
So I was obliged to fit them & ride, no excuses! Just an hour or so then to see how I felt.
Yeah right! I felt fine & had a good ride, just got cold 'cos it was getting late.

Seemed like a good idea as the roads were icy, I decided to fit keo's from my winter bike so that I could use shoes that were less than 20yrs old with descent overshoes.
I took it steady into the shade for the first time, all seemed fine so the speed increased as I rolled down the first slope & through the double bends, 'till I got to the first left hander that is......
D'oh Down we go! I'm sure the ground is harder now I'm 56 than it was when I was 15!
This was all in the first 5mins, I wouldn't give up tho' & carried on to put in 1hr30m..
Bet I'll be sore tomorrow..
