Back on the Pine Mountain but with Rack & Bar Ends removed…
After having to return the Scott Demo bikes after being spoilt over the weekend I made a couple of alterations to my trusty old Marin Pine Mountain. Removing the Rack from the back & also the Bar Ends. Removing the Bar Ends enabled me to move the levers outwards by about 10mm each side, giving me a slightly wider grip. It was the thing to do to trim the bars back when it was new.
Having ridden the Scott Scale 20 Large on Friday last my bike now feel too small & too narrow! As it feels small when climbing out of the saddle the bars feel too far under you & their narrowness doesn’t help with stability either.
However my increased recent MTB activity has certainly given me more confidence in my handling, guess I was just plain spoilt last weekend!
